Plantarse y Hora de Obrar unieron esfuerzos para plantar 250 árboles nativos en la comunidad mbya-guaraní de Tape Miri, en Garuhapé, Misiones.

Más de 50 personas de la comunidad, entre adultos y jóvenes, trabajaron en equipo junto a Hora de Obrar para restaurar la vegetación alrededor de una vertiente clave para el abastecimiento de agua potable, contribuyendo a la preservación de este recurso natural esencial. Utilizando especies nativas como el cocú, el inga, el timbó, y el cedro misionero, la plantación no solo protege la fuente de agua potable, sino que también contribuye a mejorar la calidad del suelo, fomentar la biodiversidad y mitigar los efectos del cambio climático en la región.

Un esfuerzo de articulación y sostenibilidad

“La colaboración con Plantarse demuestra el impacto positivo de la participación empresarial en iniciativas ambientales y comunitarias,” explicó la ingeniera Mara Schedler del equipo técnico de Hora de Obrar. “Acciones como esta son cruciales para proteger los recursos naturales que sostienen la vida de las comunidades locales, y fortalecen el compromiso de las empresas con el desarrollo sostenible y la responsabilidad social”, agregó.

Esta iniciativa se enmarca en el Proyecto Crece Selva Misionera, impulsado desde 2020 por la Fundación Hora de Obrar para restaurar la biodiversidad de la Selva Paranaense y fortalecer la resiliencia de las comunidades locales. A la fecha, Hora de Obrar ha logrado plantar más de 350,000 árboles nativos en distintas áreas de Misiones, incluyendo reservas naturales y zonas habitadas por comunidades mbya y pequeños productores.

Este tipo de alianzas reflejan un modelo de articulación entre empresas, ONGs y comunidades, que promueve el bienestar social y ambiental y reafirma la importancia de la reforestación como herramienta de mitigación climática.
