Die Argentinische Föderation Evangelischer Kirchen (FAIE) verurteilte die Repression, die am Mittwoch, dem 14. Mai, vor dem Kongress der Nation stattfand, aufs Schärfste.
Der wöchentliche Marsch für die Rechte der Rentnerinnen und Rentner, der friedlich verlief und von religiösen Vertreterinnen und Vertretern verschiedener Konfessionen begleitet wurde, wurde erneut von den Sicherheitskräften unter Anweisung des nationalen Sicherheitsministeriums gewaltsam unterdrückt.
Als Evangelische Stiftung „Hora de Obrar“ schließen wir uns dieser Verurteilung an und bekunden unsere Solidarität mit allen Menschen, die Opfer der Repression geworden sind. Als Teil des Ökumenischen Runden Tisches bekräftigen wir unser Engagement für eine umfassende Demokratie, ein friedliches Zusammenleben und einen Dialog, der von Liebe geprägt ist. Jesus ruft uns zur Solidarität mit jedem ausgegrenzten, weggeworfenen und gewaltbetroffenen Menschen auf:
„Was ihr für einen meiner geringsten Brüder und Schwestern getan habt, das habt ihr mir getan.“ (Mt 25,40)
Der Ökumenische Runde Tisch für Demokratie, Leben und Gemeinwohl, dem auch die FAIE angehört, hatte dazu aufgerufen, den Protest in einem kollektiven und prophetischen Zeichen zu begleiten – mit Erkennungszeichen und religiöser Kleidung unter dem Motto: „Im Glauben umarmen und segnen wir die Rentnerinnen und Rentner“, als Ausdruck der Forderung nach einem würdevollen Altern für alle Menschen.
In ihrer Stellungnahme erklärt die FAIE, dass die erfolgte Repression bestätigt, dass das „Protokoll zur Aufrechterhaltung der öffentlichen Ordnung bei Straßensperrungen” systematisch dazu verwendet wird, sozialen Protest einzuschüchtern und zu kriminalisieren – insbesondere den von Menschen, die die Auswirkungen eines wirtschaftlichen Kürzungsmodells besonders stark zu spüren bekommen. Die FAIE fordert von der Nationalregierung „die sofortige Beendigung der repressiven Politik und die Aufhebung des Protokolls zur öffentlichen Ordnung“.
